Principal

Jay Martin is a Principal of BedRock. He is a lawyer by training with a broad range of experience and expertise in the areas of finance, architecture, and politics. Jay previously served as General Counsel to Pritzker Prize-winning architect Rem Koolhaas and his Netherlands-based architecture and urban design firm, OMA. In this capacity, Jay was a key member of the management team, completing high-profile projects around the world, including new headquarters buildings for China Central Television in Beijing and Rothschild Bank in London. Prior to that, Jay represented Wall Street banks in lending and restructuring transactions and ran political campaigns during the 2006 and 2008 election cycles. Jay attended the University of Virginia, where he was one of seven students selected for the Government and Foreign Affairs Honors Program. He received his J.D. from New York University and spent a summer sabbatical studying architecture at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
